    historic building
    delicious breakfast

Staying at West Dean was quite an experience. The fine historic building had a charming atmosphere, filled with artistic memorabilia, made every corner worth exploring. The gardens surrounding the hotel were amazing. I enjoyed a lovely stroll in the evening, enjoying the quiet surroundings. Breakfast was great with a fantastic selection. The freshly prepared English breakfast items were particularly good. The receptionist initially thought only one room was reserved, which led to a bit of a hassle before it was sorted out. The room could also greatly benefit from additional amenities like a small fridge to enhance my comfort further.

    A castle-like retreat awaits

Staying at West Dean College was an extraordinary experience. The beautiful gardens beckoned for evening strolls, and the staff genuinely. The breakfast options offered a good range to satisfy everyone's taste.

The room was delightful and I had a good breakfast. Its location was exceptional, near to Chichester and other locations, the gorgeous gardens with a fantastic cafe and West Dean. Besides, The Trundle Hillfort was 4 km away from the property.

    Unfortunately Wi-Fi was very poor.

    garden view
    charming grounds
    pool condition

The suite with a garden view offered great vistas. The charming grounds were perfect for an evening stroll, soaking up the serene environment.

The swimming pool showed some signs of wear that could use attention. The flow through the dining area seemed unclear during breakfast, and the absence of basic amenities in the room.

Superb and good breakfast, with variety of food. The rooms with large bed and the bathroom, as example. The location unique and marvelous on the hillside.

Just a suitable option for a flying visit in West Dean with very good value for money. The historic building was a treat to wander around, giving a nice vibe. Make sure to arrive early for breakfast to find everything available.

Unique and quirky hotel, we really enjoyed it.

The room was nicely decorated and reasonably large with beautiful view, the bathroom and exceptional views as expected. The location was lovely, just a short walk away from Universal Orlando Resort. Furthermore, by a field of gambling lambs. Variety of food for breakfast, everything was good.

The suite with a garden view is a solid pick, offering great vistas. The grounds are quite charming, perfect for an evening stroll and soaking in the scenery.

The bed in the single room lacked a headboard and only had one pillow, which could use a serious upgrade for comfort. While the bathroom came with a bottle of shower gel, the absence of basic amenities like shampoo and conditioner seemed like a letdown. Breakfast could use a bit more attention. Waiting for a full English to be served when arriving near closing time was less than ideal, detracting from an otherwise nice start to the day.

    beautiful gardens
    inconsistent wi-fi

The location on the hillside offers fine views of the surrounding gardens. The facilities are well-maintained and provide comfort, particularly the inviting sitting areas that are decorated with captivating artwork. The English breakfast served is delicious, with a great variety of choices that cater to different tastes.

The Wi-Fi connection was a bit spotty at times.

Warm and friendly staff created a cute atmosphere. The fine grounds were perfect for a leisurely evening walk and the breakfast spread was good, offering a lovely variety.
